Cytocool II Rapid Freezing Aerosol is used to “flash freeze” tissue specimens in the cryostat, or to harden difficult-to-cut tissue on the microtome during sectioning. Cytocool II does not contain any chlorofluorocarbons (CFCís), which contribute to global warming. Simply varying finger pressure on the trigger nozzle controls tissue freezing. This feature helps to prevent over-cooling of the specimen. The integral trigger nozzle eliminates the need to attach a separate handle to each can, making the Cytocool II can less bulky and more comfortable to hold during use.
