This group of counterstains provides brilliant cytoplasmic staining for gynecological and non-gynecological specimens. The different formulations offer the user control of the color intensities and hues. EA-36 and EA-50 are used in conjunction with OG-6 for gynecological staining. EA-65 is used with OG-6 for non-gynecological staining. The Modified EA is a Gill modification that minimizes precipitation, reduces staining time, and does not contain Bismarck Brown.
