Hematoxylin 2                                                                                                 

Hematoxylin 2 is designed to produce staining results similar to Harris Hematoxylin. Unlike many comparable products, Hematoxylin 2 does not contain mercuric oxide and will not form a metallic sheen over its surface each day. Differentiation is not necessary; however, Clarifier 2 should be used to eliminate any background staining caused by the use of excessive water bath adhesive. This rapid stain is recommended for frozen sections, requires no filtration prior to use and will not form crystals upon standing or exposure to cold weather.
